Title: Addressing Length of Stay to Achieve Strategic Objectives 

Description: In 2019, the CEO of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital identified strategic initiatives for calendar year 2020, including expanding a specific service line and length of stay reduction. The presentation will focus on the initiative that addressed length of stay at this facility with 178 acute-care beds in the Houston area, including assessment, implementation, and ongoing monitoring. In addition to sharing the results of the initiative, participants will hear about the keys to success at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. The presentation will also share challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and how the Houston Methodist Clear Lake team was still able to implement sustainable change.
