The safety of our members and the success of our provider care entities to serve our communities is first and foremost in our minds, especially amid the COVID-19 developments.
Accordingly, FIHFMA leadership has decided to cancel our April 20 Accounting & Reimbursement event that was scheduled to take place at Northwestern Medicine and our May 7 Revenue Cycle 201 event that was scheduled to take place at Advocate Aurora Healthcare. Instead, we are supporting our members and the provider care organizations by practicing social distancing and remote work which gives us an opportunity to leverage the ability to gather and deliver educational content virtually. For those who have registered for the Accounting & Reimbursement event – we are issuing full refunds to the original credit card used to process your registration.
We are moving four of the modules from these two events to webinars so that we can continue to deliver value to you. Please look for emails announcing these sessions in the coming days/weeks.
Assuming we will be able to gather starting in June, we are looking ahead to these events – we will of course adjust as needed but wanted to make sure you have these on your calendars:
June 18 – Social event featuring Charles “Peanut” Tillman
June 28 – 7/1 – HFMA Annual Institute held in San Antonio, TX
We plan to hold a social event during the conference for the FI members attending, stay tuned for that announcement
July 23 — FIHFMA Annual Transition Dinner
August 17 – Women’s Leadership Retreat
In addition, our best in class programming committee is also working hard on the content for the HFMA Region 7 (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin) event. There are over 30 volunteers (across all 5 chapters) who have come together to ensure the event not just meets, but exceeds your expectations. If you’d like to get involved, please let us know – click HERE and sign up. The event will be held October 25-27, 2020 at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center. Mark your calendars and we all look forward to being back together soon to help reshape healthcare!
From the entire FIHFMA leadership team, please know that we stand ready to support you in any way we can. We have every faith that we will emerge stronger than we were before. Thank you for all you do to serve your patients and communities! If there’s anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask.
All the best,
Lana Dubinsky, HFMA First Illinois Chapter President
